Learning Innovation Centre (LIC) in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) organized a training workshop on “The Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Research and Academics.”
The first session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, who introduced generative AI, highlighting its advantages and challenges in learning. He shared practical approaches for using AI responsibly without compromising academic honesty and demonstrated various AI tools for outlining, searching, understanding, and writing, along with strategies to address AI detection effectively.
The second session was led by Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro-Rector, who focused on Research Integrity, emphasizing originality, credibility, and ethical standards in the adoption of AI technologies.
The inaugural batch successfully trained 100 faculty members from all nine UCP faculties.
