The Learning Innovation Centre (LIC) has launched the Faculty Study Circles, a new initiative at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) that brings faculty from different disciplines together for dialogue around research. The first Study Circle was hosted by Dr. Sumera Zaib on 28th October 2026 around the theme “Neurodegeneration: The Brain and the Immune System in Dialogue.” Neuroscience is widely regarded as one of the most challenging fields to grasp. Around the discussion table, however, faculty from law, computer science, sociology, psychology, and other departments found it accessible. Each participant engaged with the topic and contributed ideas, exploring how it shapes everyday life and what it means for their own disciplines. The Faculty Study Circles create a space for colleagues to learn from one another’s research and build connections across departments.
