The Learning Innovation Centre (LIC), University of Central Punjab (UCP), in collaboration with the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, Pakistan Institute of Human Rights (PIHR), and Rizq, successfully conducted the Faculty Development Program “Teaching with a Difference: Negotiating Whole Person Education” from 5–8 October 2026 at UCP. Bringing together faculty members from UCP and 10 other universities, the four-day program explored Whole Person Education, student engagement, relationship-building, ethical and practical applications of AI in teaching and learning, research and community engagement, teaching as a vocation, and emerging trends in higher education across Asia. Participants also engaged in sessions on integrity and self-awareness, social entrepreneurship in Pakistan, and modern pedagogical frameworks, gaining valuable insights into reflective leadership, innovative teaching practices, ethical technology integration, and stronger connections between universities and communities. The experiential visit to Rizq Hub further highlighted the role of social entrepreneurship in addressing community needs and creating sustainable social impact. The program encouraged faculty members to embrace a more holistic, inclusive, and student-centred approach to education that nurtures not only academic excellence but also integrity, compassion, critical thinking, and social responsibility.
